Wrestling with God: Running Away from Him

Running Away from God   

    Jacob is the great Patriarch who wrestled with God.  (Gen. 32:22-32)  When Jacob came to the end of his self efforts and feared for his life; only then did he see God face to face.  It was at that point in Jacobs life that God blessed him.  How wonderful to be up close and intimate with God Himself!    We are one with God through Jesus Christ; face to face with God, especially when we pray and worship.       

     Jacob had spent his life struggling against God and man.  He was running away from God. Many of us struggle  in our lives today just like Jacob.   In a sense we all do.   I sure have, time and time again.  We prevail through prayer.  AND PRAY IN THE SPIRIT ON ALL OCCASIONS WITH ALL KINDS OF PRAYERS AND REQUESTS.  WITH THIS IN MIND, BE ALERT AND ALWAYS KEEP ON PRAYING FOR ALL THE LORD'S PEOPLE.   (Eph.6:18 NIV)

     Surrender to the Father's will is the secret. YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.    We emerge victorious just like Jacob by surrendering to God.   ..OVERWHELMING VICTORY IS OURS THROUGH CHRIST WHO LOVED US.  ..NOTHING IN ALL CREATION WILL EVER BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS REVEALED IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD. (Rom. 8:37 b, 39b NLT)
