Anna the Prophetess : Bema Seat of Christ 5

Anna the Prophetess is a woman who built her life with the most precious of building materials.

Her specific building material was a life devoted to YHWH, including:
 1) Being in God's Presence in the Temple continually.
2) Worshiping day and night.
3) Times of fasting.
4) Prayer.
5) Being a witness for Jesus, her greatest work.

God gave her, a humble widow, the greatest honor of being the first messenger of the incarnate Messiah, the baby Jesus.
I'd like to be more like Anna.

Luke tells us:  NOW ANNA, A PROPHETESS, WAS ALSO THERE (in the temple).  SHE WAS A DESCENDANT OF PHANUEL FROM THE TRIBE OF ASHER.  SHE WAS VERY OLD, HAVING LIVED WITH HER HUSBAND FOR SEVEN YEARS AFTER HER MARRIAGE, AND THEN AS A WIDOW FOR 84 YEARS.  SHE NEVER LEFT THE TEMPLE, BUT CONTINUED TO WORSHIP THERE NIGHT AND DAY WITH TIMES OF FASTING AND PRAYER.  JUST THEN SHE CAME FORWARD AND BEGAN TO THANK GOD AND TO SPEAK ABOUT JESUS TO EVERYONE WHO WAS WAITING FOR THE  REDEMPTION OF JERUSALEM. (Lk. 2:36-38 ISV)

Dorcas, know as Tabitha was another widow who built a wonderful ministry.  She made beautiful clothes for the other widows.  She did a great Christian service, clothing the poor.  Jesus even raised her from the dead through Peter.  (Acts 9:36-42) It's rewarding buying nice clothes for people who can't afford to.  Jesus rewards us in heaven also.
