God's Instructions for Presidents

     The king,  president, or prime minister of any nation's main duty is to honor and obey the Lord God above all else. 

 Then he will be a wise, God fearing ruler whose nation is blessed and protected by Almighty God.  God in his infinite wisdom has given mankind the truth on how humanity is to live under God.  Then we will have the best life our Creator designed for us to have.  The history of humanity and the way to live is written in the 'Torah', the first five books of the Bible.  We call it the law. The book of Leviticus contains the precepts of God's laws for human kind, standards for conduct, and requirements for fellowship.   Also included are the religious ordinances given specifically to the nation of Israel.  

     YHWH, God, promised to the nation of Israel that when they obeyed Him they would live in prosperity, under His Divine protection.  In Deuteronomy 17:18 God a gave commandment to each new king to read the law under the direction of the  priests.  WHEN HE SITS ON THE THRONE AS KING, HE MUST COPY FOR HIMSELF THIS BODY OF INSTRUCTION (THIS LAW)  ON A SCROLL IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LEVITICAL PRIESTS. This was to establish priestly authority as God's representatives in conjunction with the king.  This was a God given balance of power.  More importantly, this commandment, reinforces the Almighty's authority over the king; stressing the necessity for the ruler to govern justly, wisely, and mercifully following God's commandments all the days of his life.  Writing down God's instructions reinforces them, and helps to implant His instructions for governing  more into the kings' heart.  I pray that God has mercy on America and give us a God fearing President. Amen.
