Biblical Concept of Time
God inhabits eternity. isahia 57;15 The Almighty Creator always was and always will be. He is the Alpha and the Omega. As Chuck puts it God is outside our time domain, He is not constrained by this dimension of ours that includes time. (Not as if God has lots of time, He is outside, above time. He created time.)
What fascinates me is that eternity has sequenses of events. I don't understand how there is no time in eternity, forever and ever... yet, Revelation 22;2 says that the tree of life yields a new fruit every month. So, we seem to have time.. How can there be months in the eternal realm of the new heavens and earth which are eternal?
Ephesians 3;21 seems to indicate different ages in eternity, so does Revelation 10;6.. So, how can there be age, upon, age, upon age which implies a sequence of events in the eternal state? Chuck says that when we discover these great apparent paradoxes that God will reveal the answers to us and its a wonderful opportunity to learn and investigate. I ask God for wisdom on this matter. Amen.
