Elohim is a beautiful Hebrew word, revealing our Creator God full of majestic majesty.

IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE UNIVERSE. Genesis 1:1 ISV This is profound to me. God was even before this universe began. His power is beyond our human capability to understand. My hearts desire is to know and worship Him more and more throughout all eternity. God is greater than this universe which is so vast and full of galaxies and stars spinning in the cosmos. WE know the universe does have an end. What is outside, beyond the edges of this universe? God on His throne is the power generator of the universe, the cosmos. That is another topic for another day that I hope to share with you.
Elohim is the plural form of the word El in Hebrew. El means Strong One. God is infinitely strong above and beyond our human imagination can fathom. His creation reveals and declares this to us. As our scientific studies advance and show us more of the intricacy of life and the universe we humans can have an even greater awe of God's divine power. A plural in Hebrew requires 3, not just 2 like in English. So, in the first revelation of God to mankind we see God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit working powerfully to create the cosmos.
..... THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, THE FATHER, FROM WHOM EVERYTHING CAME INTO BEING AND FOR WHOM WE LIVE. AND THERE IS ONLY ONE LORD, JESUS THE MESSIAH, THROUGH WHOM EVERYTHING CAME INTO BEING AND THROUGH WHOM WE LIVE. (1 Cor 8:6 ISV) We see the Father and the Son active at creation and our purpose is to live for Him....THE SPIRIT OF GOD WAS HOVERING OVER THE WATERS.(Gen 1:1c) We see the Spirit of God moving, working powerfully at creation too.
Jesus says, "IT IS THE SPIRIT WHO GIVES LIFE..." (Jn. 6:63) At the creation of mankind Genesis 2:7 explains: THEN THE LORD (YAHWEH) GOD (ELOHIM) FORMED MAN FROM THE DUST OF THE GROUND, AND BREATHED INTO HIS NOSTRILS THE BREATH OF LIFE, AND MAN BECAME A LIVING BEING. Job says, THE SPIRIT OF GOD HAS MADE ME AND THE BREATH OF THE ALMIGHTY HAS GIVEN ME LIFE. (Job 33:4) The CEV translation explains it this way, how this great God, Elohim, through His Spirit gives us life. JUST AS SURELY AS THE SPIRIT(RUACH) OF GOD (EL) ALL-POWERFUL (SHADDAI) HAS GIVEN ME LIFE.
