Spiritual Significance of the Sabbath

(slaveofjesus.blogspot.com)

          God's Glorious Rest
In the spiritual sense Jesus is God's ultimate rest.  Jesus said: "COME TO ME, ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND LOADED DOWN WITH BURDENS, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.  PLACE MY YOKE ON YOU AND LEARN FROM ME, BECAUSE I AM GENTLE AND HUMBLE, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.."  (Mt. 28:29a ISV)    "FOR THE SON OF MAN (JESUS) IS LORD OF THE SABBATH."  (Mt. 12:8)  All of  humanity is  loaded down with burdens in this life.   Each of us is, in all areas, physically, emotionally, mentally, and especially spiritually.  We human beings need Jesus.   We desperately need His mercy, grace and forgiveness every moment of our lives.  We need His divine power to get us to heaven someday.  He has that power.  Jesus is the source of all life;  life in this  universe, life in the eternal realm to come, heaven.  Let's come to Jesus always to fulfill all of our needs as only He can.
