Nephilim Armies

     Revelation 9:1-11 and Joel 2:1-11 tell us  that Nephilim armies  are coming upon the earth in the Day of the Lord.  They are released from the pit of hell by the Destroyer. A literal read of these 2 passages give us the description of the most hideous army ever made against man.  To me they seem to be genetically engineered soldiers in concert with fallen angels.  We are entering the last days.  The Day of the Lord is near.

  I had read Revelation 9 for 20 years and tried to imagine what it could mean.  Missler said that we see the Nephilim armies.  This is the ghastly, terrifying description of their evil army from Revelation.   THESE LOCUSTS LOOKED LIKE HORSES READY FOR BATTLE.  ON THEIR HEADS THEY WORE SOMETHING LIKE CROWNS, AND THEY HAD HUMAN FACES.  THEIR HAIR WAS LIKE A WOMAN'S LONG HAIR, AND THEIR TEETH WERE LIKE THOSE OF A LION.  ON THEIR CHESTS THEY WORE ARMOR MADE OF IRON.  THEIR WINGS ROARED LIKE AN ARMY OF HORSE DRAWN CHARIOTS RUSHING INTO BATTLE.  THEIR TAILS WERE LIKE SCORPIONS TAILS WITH A STINGER THAT HAD THE POWER TO HURT SOMEONE FOR FIVE MONTHS.  (v. 7-10 CEV)

     What are we supposed to do as we see the Day of the Lord approaching?  "YET EVEN NOW", DECLARES THE LORD, "RETURN TO ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH FASTING, WITH WEEPING,AND WITH MOURNING; AND REND YOUR HEARTS AND NOT YOUR GARMENTS."  RETURN TO THE LORD YOUR GOD, FOR HE IS GRACIOUS AND MERCIFUL, SLOW TO ANGER, AND ABOUNDING IN STEADFAST LOVE; AND HE RELENTS OVER DISASTER. (Joel 2:12,13ESV)  I pray God have mercy on this world, and mercy on America.

 How are we to live individually with this is view? 

Peter Tells us about the end.
 God has a new Heavens and Earth for us.

 Peter tells us:  IN FACT, GOD IS PATIENT BECAUSE HE WANTS EVERYONE TO TURN FROM SIN AND NO ONE TO BE LOST.  THE DAY OF THE LORD'S RETURN WILL SURPRISE US LIKE A THIEF.  THE HEAVENS WILL DISAPPEAR WITH A LOUD NOISE, AND THE HEAT WILL MELT THE WHOLE UNIVERSE.  THEN THE EARTH AND EVERYTHING ON IT WILL BE SEEN FOR WHAT THEY ARE.  EVERYTHING WILL BE DESTROYED. SO YOU SHOULD SERVE AND HONOR GOD BY THE WAY YOU LIVE.  YOU SHOULD LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WHEN GOD JUDGES EVERYONE, AND YOU SHOULD TRY TO MAKE IT COME SOON. ON THAT DAY THE HEAVENS WILL BE DESTROYED BY FIRE, AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL MELT IN THE HEAT. BUT GOD HAS PROMISED US A NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH, WHERE JUSTICE WILL RULE.  WE ARE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT." (2Peter 3:9b-13CEV)
