Jesus says in John 14:11 : "Believe Me when I say I Am in the Father, and the Father is in Me. Or, at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves." Jesus Himself tells us to see the Hand of God in His miracle works and healings. "But I have a greater witness than John- my teachings and my miracles. The Father gave me these works to accomplish, and they prove that He sent Me." (John 5:36NLT) Again, Jesus reiterates: "But if I do His work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done even if you don't believe Me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I Am in the Father." (John 10:38 NLT)
I had never believed Jesus was real, I didn't believe in God or the Bible. Then, when I was dying of terminal cancer that had invaded my liver, Jesus wrought a miracle in me. In answer to prayer, His hand of mercy touched me from heaven. In a moment, a miracle, Jesus blew all the cancer and death out of my body. He blew His living hope into me. (1 Peter 1:3 NIV) When I received that miracle, and a clean biopsy I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus is real. He touched me. He says the Bible is truth, (John 17:17) and I believe Him.
Praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
